Meeting Jean Van de Velde in 1996 during the PGA France in Martinique, he let Jean-Baptiste try out his driver. Last September, thanks to Thierry David, former editor-in-chief of Canal+ Golf who follows the hotelier on the networks, the famous French player came to stay at La Plonplonière.
